FESTIVAL CANADA
With Le French May coming to a close, in June Hong Kong shifts gears to the other side of the world to celebrate Festival Canada. Offering up much more than just maple syrup, this exposition will feature stage performances, a short story competition, photo exhibitions and special Canadian food deals. HKPO SOUNDFEST: SYMPHONIC DANCES
Ross Edwards fuses both ballet and music together in his remarkable Oboe Concerto, written specially for Diana Doherty - one of the world’s greatest oboists. Not only does the soloist have to play a virtuosic instrumental part, but she also has to dance through the orchestra simultaneously. Starting on June 7, this jazz festival kicks off with the Eugene Pao Special Quintet gig in City Hall.
